I've lived in the San Francisco Bay Area my entire life, and my interest in coins started when I was a kid. What began with the simple excitement of collecting coins grew into a lifelong appreciation for their history, rarity, craftsmanship, and value.
Bay Area Precious Metals grew out of that passion.
Today, I buy and sell silver, gold, Goldbacks, U.S. coins, rare and collectible coins, and complete coin collections. Whether you're a longtime collector, new to precious metals, or trying to understand a collection you've inherited, my goal is to make the experience straightforward and personal.

A Collector's Perspective
I understand that a coin isn't always just its silver or gold content. Date, mintmark, condition, rarity, history, and collector demand can all matter.
That's particularly important with inherited or longtime collections. A box of ordinary silver coins may have individual coins with significant collectible value mixed among them.
I believe you should understand what you own before deciding whether to sell it.
