MetalSpot Sync (“MetalSpot Sync,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a Shopify application that helps merchants manage and automate product pricing based on precious metals market data.
Information We Access
When you install MetalSpot Sync, the app may access information from your Shopify store that is necessary to provide its features. This may include store information, product and variant information, product pricing, and app configuration settings.
MetalSpot Sync uses this information to display your existing Shopify products, calculate market-based prices, update product prices when automation is enabled, maintain pricing settings, and provide pricing history.
Information We Store
We may store information necessary to operate the app, including your Shopify store identifier, app installation and authentication information, product pricing configurations, automation settings, and pricing history.
MetalSpot Sync does not require merchants to manually import or recreate their Shopify product catalog.
Market Data
MetalSpot Sync uses third-party market-data services to obtain precious metals pricing used in calculations. Store information is not sold to market-data providers.
How We Use Information
Information accessed or stored by MetalSpot Sync is used to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app and its pricing automation features.
Data Sharing
We do not sell merchant or customer personal information. Information may be processed by service providers used to operate MetalSpot Sync, such as hosting, database, market-data, and infrastructure providers, where necessary to provide the service.
Data Retention
MetalSpot Sync retains information only as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Pricing History displayed within the app retains applied price changes for seven days. Other operational records may be retained for different periods where necessary to operate the service.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information processed by MetalSpot Sync. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Merchant and Customer Data
MetalSpot Sync is designed primarily to work with merchant store and product-pricing information. The app does not require access to customer order information to provide its core pricing functionality.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
